According to the new reports from XDA-Developers, Android P might bring a new feature for dialer app. This commit was shown up in AOSP from sony engineer. But this is not new as Sony engineers have been behind the many carrier related changes, but this time it is more user-friendly.
Reports suggest that you will be able to block a number on the following criteria:
- Phone Number not disclosed (Private Number)
- Phone Number Not in the contact list
- Phone Number is of Pay Phone
- Phone Number doesn’t have Caller ID Information
The feature will be disabled in case of emergency( When someone tries to call you from the number like 911 etc). Currently, this feature is not available on Android, but we can expect to see this feature first on Android P.
